Disappointment

30 Aug

I guess I have not blogged in a few months because of my great disappointment in my fellow Americans. I followed Hillary Clinton throughout her campaign and believed she was sincere. I didn’t agree with her all the time. Many times I just thought she was wrong. However, I never even entertained the possibility of her being disloyal to the nation.

Trump on the other hand made statements that clearly were not possible or sometimes even reasonable. He made nicknames common place to his base. Crooked Hillary, Fake News, and other nicknames became his motto and style.

I believed when he became president, he would take the job seriously. However, that never happened. He has never taken the job seriously and probably never will. To my knowledge he has never read and certainly doesn’t understand the United States Constitution. He does not respect the people he represents or the allies with which we have relations. He also has no concept of justice.

He is using the office to better his position and grow his own wealth at the expense of the American people. This is obvious to anyone that just uses common sense. One does not have to do any more that take the facts and apply logic to understand this man does not represent anyone but Donald Trump, not the Presidency, but just Donald Trump.

He has done so much damage to the Presidency that it will take years to repair, if it is repairable. He has said things that seem to me at least to be unamerican if carried through.

As disappointed as I am with the president and the congress, I am more disappointed in the Apathy Party. The poles indicate Trump has an approval rating of about 35% of the voters. That seems to be his base constituents. Considering only about 54% of the population voted, and considering the 22% of the population under 18. This means 19% of the eligible voters is controlling this failed presidency.

For some odd reason Christians agree with the actions and statements made by President Trump. Some ask what lies has he told. Some seem to think being disrespectful to parts of our population is okay. Some seem to think begin disrespectful to women is perfectly alright. I have never had to depend on the media to tell me when he lies. I just listen. He contradicts his own words.

The Republican Party welcomed Trump into their fold just as they let the, “Have to do it my way,” Green Party into their party with open arms. From that point on, it has been downhill for the American citizen.

When I was a child, I always disliked the attitude of the guy that brought the bat and ball to the game and made up the rules. We always knew if we didn’t do it his way, he would take his ball and bat and go home. They never accepted the rights of the other players on the team. When we all could afford our own ball and bat the game changed.

Now I am an older man (78 years) and we are again dealing not with the boy that owns the ball and bat, but the rich men that gained their wealth on the backs of the working poor. We have been taught a lie which is “our vote doesn’t count”. Until that changes 17% of the voters will control the elections. Voting is not only a right, but a privilege.

I personally want to thank the 46% of the eligible voters for putting this unqualified President in the Whitehouse. By NOT voting;
• you insulted our neighbors to the south,
• insulted our allies in Europe,
• caused North Korea to get nervous and fire missiles over the head of our allies to the far east,
• cut off immigration from some countries
o (a process that built our nation),
• cut the guts out of our government by not hiring needed replacements,
• put us in danger of eating food that has not been inspected,
• take the United States out of the Global Initiative,
• has followed the failed idea that the United States and go to and sustain a war with an idea rather than a nation, and
• made this great nation, the laughing stock of the world.

I wrote the book “The Repair and Upkeep of the United States Constitution” in 2004, in which, I predicted that we would have a black president. It happened faster than that, but I wasn’t disappointed. The only way to stop that from happening was that everyone registers and vote. The Apathy Party wins again. The Apathy Party has won elections for years and years.

God gave this land to his people. In my estimation that would be those that love God and the ones that will love God. In my thoughts, I believe that what the old world had done with his religion just wasn’t working in His favor. The men that signed the Declaration of Independence pledged their fortunes and their lives to this new experiment called freedom from power and give it to the people.

The questions that I would ask the Apathy Party are;

Do you love your children?
Do you love this country?
Are you proud of this country?
Are you willing to do your part to keep it?

The answers to those questions should determine the future of this great nation.

God Bless America!!

Easter is Here Again

9 Apr

Today our pastor said Christians are not coming to church as they used to.  He is right.  We don’t come to church as we once did, but some of us do.  It is up to the “some of us” to encourage church attendance once again.  As long as you go to a church that believes Christ died and rose on the third day for our sins, it doesn’t much matter which denomination your chose.

I encourage you to read the bible daily and pray often for one another.  Our Christian religion is the only religion that matters.  The New Age “everyone will get there” is nonsense.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one goes to the father except through me.” is the only statement that will work for all of us.

By going to church and keeping Christian values at our forefront, we will win back our nation.

When No One Leads

25 Feb

When no one is leading a group, the group will choose a leader.  That isn’t my idea.  It is the result of many studies.

For many years now the two parties have been leading us down a road of special interests.  During this time we have involved ourselves and a war that has expanded across the Middle East and various other counties.  Even then special interest group found a way to exploit the US citizens.

Since Congress has done nothing of substance as a united group of leaders to help the country over the last forty years by constantly fighting over yes or no rather than how we should proceed, we have confused the very citizens we should be trying to help.  Therefore the special interest groups saw an opportunity to run a candidate for president by appealing to the citizens that  the answer to all our problems are based in the government procedures such as intelligence, banking regulations, environment problems, social issues, and news media.  These are things that makes the United States of America different from the rest of the world.  These are things that we rely on to keep us safe and informed.

I am not saying this is a bad thing.  I think it will be a good thing if the country wakes up and decides that they need to encourage the Congress to take back control or replace those that are not doing their jobs.  Special interest groups have been controlling Congress for years and years.  A president cannot reform the country’s problems this a series of Presidential Orders.  To fix or repair some of these items is not a bad thing.  However, it needs the best minds in the country which should be in our Congress.

It is time for the Senators and Representatives to observe that activity go on in the White House, come together as leaders, and solve that problems facing this nation.  Republicans and Democrats should review what their individual philosophies get to be and try to negotiate with the other party to compromise  into solutions  acceptable to both parties.  If they can’t do that then they should be replaced.

Congress, together, has more power than the President.  However, if they are kept at each other’s  throats, they have less power.

I love this country and the people that voted for Trump love this country.  I am sure of that.  However, the people that votes for Clinton love this country too.  I am sure of that.

What do we need.  Responsible government!

I didn’t vote for Trump

15 Nov

It’s not that I believed him to be a bad person although I would not have made some of the comments he made.  I just didn’t believe he could be presidential enough to navigate his promises through congress.  I pray now that I am wrong.

He is my president now and I pray for him just like I prayed for Obama.  That is what our nation was built on.   Through a lot prayer  by the founders of this great nation, which is widely unreported, this nation was formed.   Through the process the founders set out a method of transfer of power from one set of political values to another.

For over two hundred years, by practice, we, as a nation, have prayed to the Father of Jesus  we call God and for  the most part put forth the principles described in the Holy Bible.  We are in danger of losing this precious gift that  was given to our forefathers. We are dangerously close to losing the principles and values.  Anger isn’t going to help.  As a matter fact there is nothing we can do or say to solve this problem other than pray.

That sounds like just empty plea from a one Christian to the other Christians, but it  isn’t.  If you believe in God and Jesus Christ as I do, you definitely know that prayer  works.  So what should we pray for?  We should pray for the nation as we always do, but further we should ask the Father in the name of Jesus  to  convict the policy makers to pray.   Yes they can be convicted to pray for  and on every  single items that comes  before them.

This is a great nation and has effected change to many other nations.  The devil doesn’t like this at all, and keeps bringing obstacles in the way of other countries plus hammering way at our precious nation.

Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father except through  Me.”  If you believe that pray.

Voting is Essential

18 Oct

I have read all the email, tweets, and media messages about hate.  I must say that I am amazed at school mates, friends, and business associates that are letting hate obscure their otherwise good judgement by saying they don’t like Hilary as if that is a reason to vote for Trump.  Their total argument they use just is not one that will work in our government.  This is a democracy that depends on two or more parties working together to do good things for this government.

Trump has alienated both  sides of Congress before he even takes office to the point that reason cannot prevail.  In such an atmosphere the tea party will get what they want which is to keep the government stagnated.

The best hope we had was Burney Sanders who at least had a plan.  He could not have accomplished everything including government financing of all elections, but he would have made some progress.

Hilary is the only one left that has a chance to govern our great nation.  Get hate out of your heart, and begin to think of the people of this nation and where we have gone with special interest paving they way downward.   What good is trickle down economics if their is to trickle.

Hilary at least knows what is going on.  Donald does not have a clue. Vote but think of your neighbors before you do.

Do Values Govern Us

1 Aug

I have been thinking about the coming election concerning our President, Congress, governors, state legislators, and Supreme Court as it relates to our Constitution.  After spending some time praying about all of them and the nation, I have come to the conclusion that our Constitution was not based on anything but God’s values.  This is a very important statement of my belief.

First I have a choice to either follow our not follow the values set forth in the Holy Bible.  The Old Testament is taken from the Torah where we get the Ten Commandments.  Our New Testament is based on the gospels telling the story of Jesus.  Jesus said the greatest commandment of all is love.  We are to love first love God, then our neighbor as our self.

What we need is a President, Congress, governors, state legislators and Supreme Court that understands that simple point.  If the platforms of the parties do not reflect love, it is wrong constitutionally.  If the candidates running for office do not want to bring the love of mankind, along with stewardship, and faith in the Almighty back to this country, they should not be elected.

Note:  The Constitution does not prohibit God’s influence in governing our nation.  Separation of church and state does not exist in the Constitution.  It does say the government cannot direct you to or against any religion.

Love is what our representatives do; not just what they say they will do.

Our country is falling apart because of this.  We are a very gullible people.

They (our representatives) said they would solve the problems produced by burning coal.

  • Today coal miners are not working in a safe environment.
  • The carbon emissions are still at an all-time high.
  • Some of the government officials and representatives are pushing the idea of clean coal.

They said they would impose safety measures concerning the production of oil.

  • We have tax exception for oil companies,
  • Fracking is destroying our water supply and the stability of the crust of the earth.

They said they wanted to make justice for all a priority when they were elected.

  • The bankers, politicians, corporate officers that commit crimes against the public are never even charged.
  • Corporate profits go to the company benefits and CEO salaries and benefit rather than increasing the income of the common workers or stockholders.
  • Congress spends an enormous amount of money investigating the possibility of a crime which should be handled in a grand jury where there is no agenda other than the truth.
  • People are serving sentences in jail because they could not afford a private attorney and have to rely on a public defender to negotiate and plea deal because they do not have the money for a trial.

They said they would raise the minimum wage.

  • They instead not only did not give the minimum wage a hike, but raised their own pay scale.

They said they would stop loopholes in the gun laws to allow through checks for gun buyer,

  • They didn’t do anything to protect the public.
  • Background checks are a joke.
    • o If you want guns sold on illegally stopped, make the sentence strong enough to show we care.

They say they have passed protection on the internet.

  • Try to report a fraud and see that you get shuffled around.

They say if you see something say something.

  • If you see something on your job or see fraud in action, you will be left holding the bag with no assistance from the government.

They said they were concerned about US jobs and income.

  • The minimum wage stays stagnant below the poverty level.
  • Jobs are sent overseas by US companies.

They said ISIL is our enemy but not Islam.

  • We do not condemn Islam units that support ISIL.
  • We have not made clear that an oath taken as a citizen cannot be taken or citizenship granted if your religious beliefs do not coincide with the US Constitution.
  • Do we teach the principles of the Constitution in our schools well enough to make those principles dwell in the thinking of our young people?

Therefore, we have to examine the way we vote.

  • Do we vote for popularity are for the principles of the person running?
  • Do we send the same people back to the Senate and Congress both state and national because we do not examine their votes against the principles they said they would follow?
  • Do we make decisions about our fellow man based on our Christian beliefs or based on what we have been told?
  • Do we know right from wrong?

The solution is that we must examine our own agenda.

  • What do I really believe?
  • What am I willing to give up to elect representatives that support what I believe?
  • Am I willing to accept lame excuses for representatives not voting for right rather than wrong?
  • If I am a Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Islam, or any other religion, atheist, or agnostic do I support my beliefs, or is it lip service?

I am a Christian and believe that God made the world and everyone in it.  I believe God gave us the planet to care for.  I believe God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, and God gave us Jesus who clarified them with one word, Love.  It is hard for me to believe that men and women that serve us a legislators make the laws they make in the name of service to mankind.

I believe God is the creator of the earth, and I accept the fact that God cleverly hid America from the rest of the world until His timing was right.  I believe He guided the men who wrote the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution to reflect His values.  If you agree with that, you will agree we have not done a very good job of electing and controlling our representatives.  Now join me in asking God to guide my vote this fall and elect men and women that will actually do the job of reflecting our values.

Now, what do you believe?

It’s Just Wrong

8 Jul

I wrote a book titled “The Repair and Upkeep of the United States Constitution” and thought at the time we could simply change the way we do political business and things could get better.  I WAS WRONG.  We have to make major changes by correcting past mistakes.

We have to make assumptions contrary to those made by the scholars we are listening to.  Those scholars read the constitution and determine that the writings of the men who actually signed the constitution are more important that the words in the constitution which were agreed to by those signers.

There are several items designed in the constitution, but the answer always seems to come back to Religious Freedom.

The first and most important freedom affecting us today is religious freedom.  In the Declaration of Independence “our Creator”.  This is the God we worship on a daily basis here in the United States.  You ask which God? To the founder there is only one God.  The congress didn’t have the first bible printed, but according to Dr. Warren Throckmorton, Robert Aitken, from his own fortune had the “Founder’s Bible” printed which included the New Testament.  While congress didn’t print the bible they were involved in the process.

The founders of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution understood that the Christian religion came out of the Jewish faith and the Christians understood it was prophesied in the Jewish bible that what was to become the Christian religion.  Christians tolerate the Jewish right to hold on to the old Jewish belief just as one may believe there is no God or a different God.  However, there was never an intent to support another God or the worship, another entity or other religions.  However, they believed a person may worship as they see fit as long as the worship doesn’t interfere with the Christian or Jewish values contained in the Holy Bible or Torah.

The writing of any founder concerning the language in the constitution before or after they signed the agreement (the Constitution) expressing an interpretation different than the words, contained therein, has no bearing in law.  To me as I read the constitution the founders were saying that they did not want the state to dictate what religion the people should practice or not practice.  Hindu, Muslim, and other minor religions present in the US at that time were not really considered.  According to our founders, we should never become a theocracy as the Muslims demand.  As a matter of fact, when the Muslim or any religion teaching the takeover of the United States to adopt their religion is treason.

The values in the constitution are clearly taken from the Holy Bible and Torah.  While we don’t want the Holy Bible and Torah, to dictate what our government says and believes, clearly the founders didn’t want any other set of values to control our nation.  Personally I think that the Torah clearly dictates the existence of Christianity, but, as always, the Jews have to accept this teaching to truly be fulfilled.  I also believe the Koran, while advocating they believe in the teachings of the Torah and believe Jesus Christ was a prophet but don’t follow the teachings of Jesus the Christ is actually worshiping an invented god.  Sense the teachings of Koran do not follow the practice of choice as the current Torah and the Holy Bible advocate, we have to assume we have to assume the Muslim was a religion convenient for the time.

The historians that study the Constitution many times pull from information writings not of the Constitution but from subsequent writings of some of the signers.  There is not term “separation of church and state” in the Constitution.  Again it was derived artificially from the thoughts of Thomas Jefferson after the constitution was ratified, so the Supreme Court took the after thoughts of Jefferson and ruled in support of his thoughts.

As in other cases the Supreme Court of the United States has bent the US Constitution completely out of shape.  The oath taken by the Justices and members of Congress swear to uphold the Constitution without really understanding what they are swearing to do, but they use the phrase “so help me God”.  Now there is the Muslim in congress used the Koran.  The Buddhist uses, I don’t know what.

Our laws should allow a religious sect to have churches, temples or mosques as long as their beliefs do not advocate violence against the US Government or its citizens.  In other words, religion should be defined by an amendment to the Constitution.  In this amendment we should take the Supreme Court rules that prohibit the teaching and religious practices of the Christian and Jewish believers to exercise their beliefs in public.  The Christians and Jews have been persecuted by prohibiting them from practicing their beliefs in public or on government property.  At the same time, we allow special privileges to the Muslim to exercise his prayer rituals whenever and wherever he wants.  We cater to atheists because they don’t want to be offended when, in fact if they don’t believe in anything, what possible difference could it make to them what practice of worship we practice.

A relatively new threat is the belief of some Muslims that they should force all people to believe as they do, or to condemn those that do not follow the Muslim believe as enemies. We have taken freedom of religion too far.  The value of our religion is based that we have a choice to belief or not believe.  If a Muslim cleric in any way backs the activities of those Muslims that cause harm to any citizen of the United States, are breaking the law just as you cannot go to a theater and yell “fire” with no retribution.  That cleric or total mosque should be dealt with by law.  We can’t wait until it happens to decide what to do.  It has happened and is happening.

 We are faced with a dilemma which is;

Do we want to preserve freedom of establishing a government sanctioned religion?

Do we want to want to continue to advocate freedom from religion, or

Do we do what our founding fathers intended which was to freedom to worship as you please, but the Congress should make laws with Christian principles?

The question we should ask is can a non- Christian or non-Jew take seriously an oath to serve God.

Conversations sometimes begin with the discussion of politics or religion.  I have heard people say again and again that they don’t want to argue about politics or religion.  To me the is the most shortsighted opinion anyone can have.  What are the most important controls of your life?  Religion and Politic top the list.  We cannot be passive about these most important subjects or we will be taken over by the devil.

May God guide your thinking and inspire action for each of us.
